Maria Olsen is a bi-racial attorney, journalist, author, TEDx speaker, mentor, WPFW fm radio show host in Washington DC and host of the Becoming Your Best Version podcast.

Today we talk about her 4th book, 50 After 50: Reframing the Next Chapter of Your Life – a memoir and guidebook in which she shares her own personal evolution and life lessons to help readers of all ages revive their self-worth, learn new things and consider gifting themselves along the way, as she did, by making a list of 50 must do’s after turning 50. She uses this book as a mirror for others to reinvent themselves as life’s circumstances shift and change over time.

Maria leads writing/empowerment retreats for women, hosts the “Becoming Your Best Version” podcast and is a co-host of the Inside Out radio show on WPFW-fm, 89.3, in Washington, D.C. She spoke at TEDx CUNY in November 2021. Her talks on becoming your best version involve overcoming common battles including divorce, empty-nest syndrome, work/life balance, sexual assault, feeling less than, addictions, anxiety and depression.
